Welcome to the Rachel Rivers Method, designed specifically for women over the age of 30 and 40 and centred around three main components: HORMONES, FUNCTIONAL TRAINING, SUSTAINABLE WORKOUTS.

First, hormones. Why is this important? The science strongly supports that certain hormones that kept us lean, strong and toned in our 20s decrease drastically in our 30s and even more so after 40. This decrease leads to added fat around the waistline and back of the arms, sagging skin, decrease in energy and slower metabolism, even if you haven’t changed your workouts or eating habits since your 20s. In addition to this, fluctuations in our female sex hormones require additional modifications to our workouts and fuel for energy. However, on a very positive note, the science also supports many lifestyle adjustments that have proven to reignite these hormones so they work for us again, instead of against us. With smart training, we can get back our toned body and skin, increase our energy and improve our quality of life.

The next component I address is functional training. Around the ages of 30 and 40, wear and tear starts to rear its head, with an increase of aches and pains, which possibly limit us from certain group and online classes. This is a normal part of aging, but the last thing you want to do is make things worse by jumping into more intense workouts before your foundation is solid. I will address your injuries while responsibly starting you on your fitness programme. If you jump this functional stage, then you will not succeed in my last component: sustainability.

If you are not sustainable, you are not successful. In my method, you can be rest assured that you’re getting the personal attention your body deserves to set you up for sustainable workouts for long-term results. This will increase your confidence that you’re doing the right thing for your body and mind every stage of your life. It will help alleviate any anxiety about getting older and actually empower you to know how to assess what is right for you and be able to block out any confusing and conflicting advice. There is no such thing as “one size fits all”, so I will teach you what is right for you.

So, join me on your Rachel Rivers Method, to not only rev up your fat-burning and energy-boosting hormones again, but to make sure you stay functional and sustainable for long-term successful results.
